Mike Devine is a life-long Cambridge resident who grew up and has spent most of his life in Hespeler. Mike is a strong advocate for community and local economic development, including bringing more jobs to the area and continuing to revitalize the downtown Queen Street core.
Mike had been married to wife Janis for 40 years and has two adult daughters Shannon and Kristine and a baby grandson Garrison.
Mike is currently a small-business owner of Devine Produce, local produce supplier and is an executive member of the Social Planning Council of Cambridge and North Dumfries.
He is a former union leader, representing working families and retirees in Cambridge and Kitchener. Mike believes in contributing to the community and has served as a Hespeler Minor Softball League coach and is a strong supporter of community organizations such as the Cambridge Self-Help Food Bank, United Way and the YWCA.
As part of his vision for Ward 2 and the city, Mike commits to work aggressively with the Cambridge Economic Development Department to attract new businesses and jobs to our city.
Mike also believes that families need green spaces and places where they can enjoy the outdoors, close to home. He will partner with all levels of government to restore the Speed River to a source of clean and safe free recreation of all reside
